SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS


Authors are invited to submit abstracts for consideration and inclusion in the programme as oral or poster presentations.

Texts, containing 500 words maximum, must be written in English, using simple and clear sentences. Abstracts should not contain figures (pictures, tables, charts etc.). Abstracts will be published in the Book of Abstracts in the original form as submitted by authors. The Abstract Book will be distributed together with the Final Programme to all Conference participants upon on-site registration in Ljubljana.

Content: The abstract should consist of five paragraphs labelled:

  • Background - give brief outline or rationale (why the study was undertaken).
  • Method - outline the research method (how was study done).
  • Results - a summary of the main results (what was found)
  • Discussion - what consequences follow (implications for practice).
  • Conclusion - try to avoid statements such as "the results will be presented and discussed".
Do not provide more than three references to support the abstract.


Authors must register and submit the abstracts electronically via the online Speakers Registration and Abstract Submission Form, where detailed submission guidelines can be found. An acknowledgement of receipt of your submission will be sent to your e-mail address after the completed submission, together with your login name and password, which will enable to edit or change your abstract, by the submission deadline. If you do not receive the confirmation, your submission was incomplete and needs to be re-submitted.


Deadline for submission of abstracts is February 15, 2008.



NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTED ABSTRACTS


Please note that abstracts will be reviewed by March 14, 2008.

All abstracts will be scientifically reviewed by members of the Scientific Committee and authors informed as to whether the abstract has been selected for oral or poster presentation. The programme organisers will give consideration to the salience of the topic to the themes of the conference and the balance of the programme. Notification of acceptance of an abstract will be e-mailed to the presenting author by March 14, 2008.

 


Abstracts will be accepted for publication in the Final Programme and Book of Abstracts only from presenting authors who have registered and paid the Registration Fee by April 30, 2008, at the latest.
